Recently resettled in Germany, Micha Pawelka has been the COO of Priedemann Holding GmbH since January 2021, where he oversees and handles the company's day-to-day administration and operational function as well as the group’s financial matters. Before that, at the beginning of 2014, Micha was one of the Managing Director of Priedemann FZCO in Dubai with several years of experience alongside the Management Team of Priedemann Facade Experts. Handling the role of business development for the Middle East projects, Micha was in charge of all sales and marketing activities, implementation of the business development plan, and client relationship of Priedemann Middle East and India. Before joining the Priedemann group, Micha was a Sales Director in the Schollglas Group in Germany ere relocating to the Middle East in 2008 to establish an office for Interpane Glass. Micha Pawelka has an academic qualification in Wholesale Management and Foreign Trade. He gained over 20 years of experience in the Glass and Facade Industry in Europe and the Middle East before joining Priedemann as a partner in 2014.

Luke Harrison is Associate Director of Pattern Design. He is both an Architect and computational designer, with extensive experience of Sports Architecture and Venue Design. He has worked on many of Pattern’s projects around the world, most recently Luke has been key to delivering two highly complex stadia for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022; Al Rayyan Stadium and Education City Stadium.

As Project Architect on the 40,000 seat Al Rayyan Stadium, Luke led the design team first from London, before relocating to Qatar as Site Architect for two years. At which point Luke took responsibility for the technical delivery of the entire project; overseeing construction, team-wide coordination, client liaison and ensuring onsite quality.

As a computational designer, Luke explores the application of innovative technologies at all stages of the project. Using a range of parametric workflows in the creation and production of Façade, Roof and Bowl designs.

Paulo Carvalho is Effisus commercial & corporate relations director, supporting the business with his skill set and experience in the international building construction industry. With a solid experience on sales, management, product development, and business strategy, his current focus is to leverage the Middle East business for Effisus.

Since early in his career he has been working with and for the five continents, being currently based in Dubai. He has worked at the beginning of his carrier on the automotive industry, moving later to the building construction industry, where he has been working for the last 15 years. In recent years Paulo has collaborated with numerous stakeholders to develop sustainable and functional building envelopes, with a key focus on optimizing to each specific project needs.

Maged (Max) Ahmed joined BG&E Façades in 2014 as a senior façade engineer. After two years in the head office in Melbourne, Australia; he re-located to the Middle East where he established the Middle East presence of BG&E Façades. Since then, Max and his team have provided façade consulting services for numerous projects in the Middle East as well as Australia.

Max is a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Engineers Australia and holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from the University of New South Wales in Sydney. He has 15 years of structural and façade engineering experience and has successfully delivered projects in the commercial, residential, educational and hospitality sectors.

Max’s focus is on raising awareness of façade consulting importance across Middle East region, developing facade systems, building envelope solutions based on simplicity during construction and applying past learned lessons in the industry.

Allan is a chartered Supply Chain Manager with a BA in Management and currently in the final stages of completing an MSc in Façade Engineering. For the past 21 years he has managed the supply and specification of specialist materials used in the construction industry in the UK and Middle East. Now responsible for the specification and supply of the Kuraray Trosifol PVB and SentryGlas interlayer business for use in laminated architectural glass. Kuraray has a strong focus on new technologies and innovations underlining their commitment towards serving the ever changing demands of the global glass industry through innovation and leadership.

AS+GG Design Director, Alejandro Stochetti AIA, is building an impressive body of international work in all scales and typologies. He embraces the challenges of highly prominent projects with global exposure as well as of smaller, cost-conscious projects, with their own transformative potential. Alejandro has been the senior designer and leader in a wide-variety of projects, from the Megatall Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia to the typologically diverse Astana Expo 2017 in Kazakhstan. His built projects include residential, commercial, and cultural typologies ranging from Burj Vista, a two-tower residential complex in Dubai completed in 2018 to Energy Hall and Congress Center, two cultural facilities in Astana completed in 2017.

Alejandro is currently the senior designer of Al Wasl Plaza, the centerpiece of the upcoming Expo 2020 Dubai that combines breathtaking design, innovative technology, and an intricate domed trellis with a huge immersive projection experience.

Thomas Fruhmann is a senior Façade/Building Skin Specialist with a top-level experience in curtain wall construction industry. He has acquired a diversified experience in design, production, project coordination, project management, contracts management, risk management, and tender/sales management, and developed a keen interest in coordinating multi-disciplinary building envelope projects.

Thomas has acquired extensive expertise in building skin design by working on a number of international projects and has developed a multi-cultural approach in handling complex projects as a result of his involvement in major assignments in the GCC, UK, Europe, Africa and Asia.

In 2018, he became the Director Pre-Construction Services at Schueco Middle East. Previously, he held senior positions with reputed organisations in the industry, including Dar Al-Handasah, ALICO (Aluminum & Light Industries), CTI (Cladtech International) and Façade Innovation Konhausner Group.

Javier has extensive design and construction experience working on both Spanish and international projects, including the project and resident architect role during the construction of Mall of Qatar in Doha.

He has a strong record of leading multidisciplinary teams in the design and development of commercial, retail, hospitality and residential projects.

Javier joined Chapman Taylor in 2005 and was promoted to Associate Director in 2015.

Susanna Noureddine holds a master’s degree in Façade Engineering from the University of Applied Science in Detmold, Germany. She is a Principal Façade Consultant at Ramboll responsible for project management commercial and technical design.

With just over 9 years’ experience in the façade industry in both Germany and the UAE, She has knowledge of the various façade cladding materials for both commercial and residential sectors and has applied them confidently in practice. Susanna’s specialism is in façade design for sustainable building envelopes and has a detailed understanding of system development for curtain walls and aluminum windows, including façade testing and construction supervision.

Sanmukh is the founder of The Glass company that he set up after working for over 10 years in the glass industry and brings is specialist knowledge of complex and challenging glass assembly to fabricators and end clients to delivery expected product for their projects. He also manages role of Technical Director at G-Smatt Europe since 2017 He has been involved in the exercise to place media façade glass on the market primarily in Europe and USA.

Prior to this he worked with Eckersley O’Callaghan as a structural glass and façade engineer where He had been primarily responsible for the facade design and structural design of complex glass structures including the Apple HQ in Cupertino and Apple flagship retails stores worldwide. He has increasingly been involved as a Quality and technical adviser for projects with complex glass processing and extensive testing requirements, especially where the glass is manufactured in Germany and China.

Sanmukh also sits on the British Standards Institute(BSI) technical committee to guide through existing published standards and providing this thoughts to be captured in forthcoming glass standards to embrace developing technologies.

Mr. Yousef Al Yacoub, a Jordan national having a degree in BCS in Applied Chemistry is currently the General Manager of Qatar Aluminium Extrusion Co. (QALEX) – a subsidiary of QIMC (Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company).

He has proven his expertise in management of the aluminium extrusion business for more than 20 years including production, sales, finance and projects.

Before joining QALEX, he was the General Manager of NALEXCO based in Dubai for 6 years and before that as GM of MODAL (Jordan based) for 4 years.

Gökhan ERMIŞ is the architectural Marketing Manager of Pulver Powder Coatings, the third largest powder coating manufacturer in Europe. He has a master's degree in marketing from Marmara University and a bachelor's degree in advertising from Near East University. He has more than 6 years experience in powder coating field in various tasks and functions, such as sales and marketing. He lives in Istanbul, Turkey.

Mr. Siddharth Aldangady is the Acting Engineering Department Manager of Hamad Bin Khalid Contracting, one of Qatar’s leading and prestigious contracting firm. He manages the function of Engineering and Design for the company. He has over 20 years of experience, 14 years in the Middle East region. He has also worked as freelance architect, set designer, interior designer for architectural and interior designs in and around Maharashtra, India. Mr. Aldangady is a degree holder in Bachelor of Architecture, a registered member of Council of Architecture , India, and MMUP registered in Qatar. He personally consider architecture not only as a technique, but also as a form of art and culture.

John qualified with a degree in Civil, Structural & Environmental Engineering from Trinity College Dublin in 2003. Since then he has been involved in the construction industry, firstly in main contracting and then as a façade specialist for the past 13 years. John’s career has taken him through projects Ireland, the UK, Canada and Qatar.

He has extensive experience in managing complex geometry projects with a special interest in stadiums, having been involved in the Aviva Stadium Dublin, Tottenham Hotspurs New Stadium and now Lusail Stadium & Ras Abu Aboud Stadium for the Qatar World Cup.

John’s current position as Pre-Construction Director at Alutec means early involvement with architects and contractors to offer support on the technical and financial viability of designs. He is also leading Alutec’s expansions into Europe, Inia and the US.

Bassem Mardini has over 30 years of Project/Design Management experience for complex large scale (mega) international Master Plan, Infrastructure, FIFA Regulation Stadiums & Building projects covering both public and private sector developments within Architectural, Project Management and Client representative organizations in the United States, Lebanon and Qatar.

Bassem Mardini is a licensed Architect in the State of Alabama, full membership in American Institute of Architectes (AIA), National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and Registered Grade “A” Architect with Ministry of Municipality & Environment (MME).

Bassem Mardini has worked in Qatar for over 15 years as a Project/Design Manger for Qatar Petroleum (QP) and ASTAD Project Management on their key Projects such as QP Headquarter Complex Project, Aerospace City a mix-use Development, MANATEQ Ras-Bufontas Economic Zone Development and Education City Stadium.

Bassem Mardini is currently working for Qatari Diar Real Estate & Investment Company as a Senior Manager - Architecture & Interior Design overseeing Lusail Development key activation projects such as Commercial Boulevard Development (CBD), Seef Lusail Residential Development, Wadi Al-Sail Fox Hill Development and many other projects.

His key technical experience focuses on Thermal and Moisture Protection of External Building Envelope and Facades.

Moen is working with Arab Engineering Bureau as Executive Director. He is an expert on smart cities and intelligent mobility and has many research publications in International Journals and seminars. Moen serves on a various national committees and advisory boards.

He promotes the concept of smart design, policy and technology thru research notes and attending talks on design and innovations.

Some of his major design and planning projects are planning and design of Thumama Stadium at Qatar, Ashghal’s Facelift and Façade Improvement Project and Central Doha and Corniche Beautification Project.

Mansoor is an architect with experience of around 15 years in wide range of projects including hotels, commercial developments, health-care, residential, broadcasting studios, stadiums etc.

With a background in Architecture and a passion for design, he delivers a unique combination of artistic talent and technical expertise. In his current role at Qatar Design consortium (QDC), he is responsible for preparing a full complement of construction documents for Architecture, Interior design & fit out, FFE, Signage, Landscape and Fire safety design, and Specifications. He has specialized training in sustainability techniques and extensive real-world experience in identifying project risks and advising client stakeholders on mitigation strategies.
